A global leader in water technology
A. O. Smith began in 1874, when Charles J. Smith opened a small machine shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Today the company, still headquartered in Milwaukee, is one of the world’s leading providers of water heating and water treatment solutions.
It employs around 11,500 people at operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and sells its products in more than 60 countries.
A. O. Smith makes residential and commercial water heaters and water treatment systems, and puts its products through rigorous quality and endurance testing, so wherever hot or clean water is needed, there’s a solution you can count on.
